jason title

Executive Producer/Creative Director/Director

With over 20 years in film, television and music events, Jason started his career at BBC television as a cameraman. At the age of 25 becoming a lighting cameraman he filmed major music shows, concerts and worldwide released programmes including, ‘Keeping Up Appearances’, ‘Top Of The Pops’, ‘Tales From Hollywood’, ‘Traffa Tanzi’ and ‘Shadow Of A Gunman’. He left BBC Television in 1995 to pursue a freelance career and quickly gained his reputation for live music filming including Reading Festival, Phoenix, Belfort and many others.

He started his production and camera company, Widescreen Ltd in 1997 and won a major project with Walt Disney Television – Playhouse Disney. He technically produced over 150 episodes at Leavesden Film Studios in the UK. Widescreen Ltd grew into an HD specialist camera company and using this technical advantage, Jason became a consultant in HD filming while also designing large music/concert lighting and audience lighting rigs for stadium and arena TV shows.

Jason has designed for Oasis (3 tours), Dierks Bentley (Grammy Nomination), Scissor Sisters live in Trafalgar Square, White Stripes, Take That (CAD Winner), Rihanna, Moloko, Keane, Kaiser Chiefs and many more.

He also produced and directed, through his production company, a number of large music shows. His credits include that of Paul McCartney - Ecce Cor Meum Live, The World Music Awards, The Number 1 Project Live, The Joe Meek Project Live, James Taylor Quartet, and was the consultant film producer for Paul McCartney’s album ‘Memory Almost Full’ world launch. He also works for other production houses with credits for the USA ‘Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’, ‘The Disney Awards’, ‘Animal Precinct’, plus many commercials and music promos.

More recently Jason has turned his attention to the world of 3D. Collabrating with Darran Bender's company Bigger Pictures helped create two of Sky's big 3D documentaries, 'Britain & Ireland From The Sky' and 'Brian May's Brief History of 3D'.

shirley title

Since entering the industry as a Production Assistant in 1984, Shirley has gone on to enjoy a successful career in a wide variety of Director and Producer roles.

Her first Producer role came in 1990 on Crimewatch, which she initially worked on in a Directing capacity. Subsequently freelance Producer roles included GMTV, Esther and Kilroy, before Shirley worked for Endemol as something of an Interior Design show specialist.

After taking a career break to become a mother, Shirley returned to work as Producer for Saturday Kitchen, and still takes on the odd creative project – notably a recent Directing role with Gordon Ramsay – and brings her wealth of experience and knowledge of the industry to her role at Widescreen Productions.

Clodagh has been ensuring the smooth running of a wide variety of offices both inside and outside the industry for over 20 years. And brought her considerable multi-tasking skills and administrative experience to Widescreen Productions in 2007.
